Haddonfield Plays & Players, in Haddonfield, NJ, is now accepting submissions from Directors and Actors who would like to participate in this year’s “Night of 1,000 Plays”!
Many area theater folks will fondly recall Philadelphia’s Brick Playhouse on South Street, and its annual short play festival, “Night of 1,000 Plays”—an evening of 20+ short pieces of mostly five minutes or less in length. With full tribute and homage to The Brick, HP&P has revived this annual tradition, featuring dozens of local writers, directors and actors coming together for a fun-filled evening of organized chaos! Typically, directors will be paired with a group of actors, to bring to life 3-5 assigned pieces over a couple of rehearsals.
To apply, please email firstname.lastname@example.org; being sure to include “1,000 Plays” in the subject. If you haven’t worked with HP&P before, please include a headshot and/or resume, if available.
This year’s N1KP performs on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8; with a Tech rehearsal on Thursday, June 6. Other rehearsals will be scheduled based on the availability of the individual groups.
“Night of 1,000 Plays” is a non-Equity, non-paid production.
